What are prepositions?
Prepositions are one of the key word classes that students sitting the
11+ exams need to be able to recognise in a number of different
scenarios. Questions about these will be found on the English 11+
Paper.
Prepositions are words that are generally used before nouns, pronouns,
or noun phrases to give details about the position of something. This
could be talking about a person or an object.
Some basic examples of prepositions that students should know are:
